PAHS students Senator Milo Atwater and Talia Anderson, with teacher/advisor Pam Helpenstell, competed at national FBLA competition in Baltimore, MD. Atwater finished in the top 14 out of 98 teams in his event.

PAHS Students Earn Microsoft Certifications

Fifty students recently earned Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certifications by completing an exam through Microsoft Imagine Academy in their Microsoft Office class at Port Angeles High School. Digital Literacy, Word, Word Expert and PowerPoint certifications were earned.

Here’s a three-minute read for parents on 8 Ways to Help Your Student Succeed! Provided by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). Led by Superintendent Chris Reykdal, OSPI is the primary agency charged with overseeing K-12 education in Washington state.
Port Angeles Friends of the Library continues to sponsor the Books for Teachers program, a book sale for Port Angeles School District teachers and staff, on Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8, at the Port Angeles Main Branch Library. Up to thirty teachers will receive $50 vouchers to purchase books.
All Stevens Middle School seventh graders had to opportunity to experience the unique environment of Hurricane Ridge during spring science field trips. “We improve the science curriculum by adding relevant local connections and hands-on experience,” said Daniel Lieberman, science teacher. “When the Olympic National Park is in your backyard, why not take the classroom there?”
